Film actress, producer, and director, born in Roswell, New Mexico, USA. She worked in television before making her film debut in Choices (1981), but her major breakthrough came with St Elmo's Fire (1984). Later films include Ghost (1990), Indecent Proposal (1992), The Scarlet Letter (1995), Striptease (1996), G.I.Jane (1997), and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003). She co-founded a production company, Moving Pictures, with Suzanne Todd; their work includes Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999).

Moore was married to musician Freddy Moore from 1980 to 1984 and to actor Bruce Willis from 1987 to 2000. She and Willis have three daughters, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah. The actress married her much younger actor boyfriend Ashton Kutcher at a top-secret ceremony in Los Angeles on September 25, 2005.
